Visiting Woodford England
The following are pictures of Woodford, England taken April, 2024. Woodford Vermont was named after this town in Woodford England. It is interesting to compare the two towns and think back on the origins of our little town. When speaking with a tour guide, she discussed familiar sounding town names such as Dorset and Shaftsbury in England. One would think that by naming our local towns after towns in England made our first settlers feel more at home in their new land.
