Weekly Construction Update
Route 9 Ledge Stabilization, Woodford
DATE: Friday, 11/19/21

Intermittent traffic holds may be required at times over the next two weeks for hauling of ledge material and clean-up operations. Please expect some delays.

A work zone speed reduction is now in place. The speed limit in the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. A speed check has been installed on the west end of the project zone. Fines are doubled for speeding within the work zone.

The contractor will be hauling ledge material out of the construction zone next week. Motorists should be aware of vehicle movements in and out of the construction zone. Delays may occur while vehicles enter and exit the construction zone.

Once hauling of excess material has been completed, traffic control measures will be removed. Barriers and speed reduction measures will be removed and the traffic pattern will be restored to pre-construction status. Currently, the contractor is scheduled to have this work completed by December 1st.

Holiday: In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the contractor will not be working Thursday, 11/25 through Sunday, 11/28. Work will resume on Monday, 11/29.

An update will not be issued next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The next update will be issued the week of 11/29.
The final blast of the season was performed earlier this week.
Post-blast ledge status.
