A traffic hold is scheduled for Friday, 9/10/21 between 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. for blasting operations. Motorists should anticipate delays of approximately 15-20 min during this time frame.
Motorists can expect brief periods of traffic holds in order to get trucks in and out of the construction zone. These holds will not have a significant impact on traffic.
A work zone speed reduction is now in place. The speed limit in the work zone has been reduced to 40 mph. A speed check has been installed on the west end of the project zone. Fines are doubled for speeding within the work zone.
Currently there is one blast scheduled for this project tomorrow (Friday, 9/10/21). Traffic will be held in both directions for up to 15 minutes between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in order to ensure safety for the traveling public before, during and after the blast. Once the roadway has been cleared of any debris, traffic will be released to flow through the project area.
There are no blasts currently scheduled next week. An alert will be issued if this changes.
The contractor will continue hauling the material generated from blasts off site next week. In order to accomplish this, flaggers will be onsite to stop traffic briefly to allow trucks to safely enter and exit the construction zone. Short delays should be anticipated.
