Construction Update
Route 9 Ledge Stabilization, Woodford
DATE: Thursday, 5/27/21

A lane shift is in effect. Traffic has been reduced from 2 lanes to one lane in the project area for eastbound traffic (traffic heading out of Bennington/Woodford toward Searsburg and Wilmington).

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

Crews are scheduled to complete hand scaling on the south ledge late next week or early in the week of 6/7. Rock dowels and shear keys are being used to help reinforce the existing ledge and to help prevent further sliding of the ledge in the future.

Holiday: In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, crews will not be working Saturday, 5/29 through Monday, 5/31. Work will resume on Tuesday, 6/1 at 7:00 a.m.
Some of the large boulders removed on Monday.
